The results are OUT!

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

We have been delighted to start telling of our news, although it is "early". Why wait when life is so short, as we have discovered through our other children? If this is to be a short life lets CELEBRATE every day!!! So it is I am delighted to announce that we are 6 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow. Its a little confusing to count days. We had IVF the 30th, but the embryos were conceived last February! So I count from the IVf, but the embryos were already a few days "grown" even then. What a miracle, indeed. So to recap, last spring of the 22 eggs removed from me, 7 were able to be fertilized, "grown out" and survived the process. Three were put in at the first IVF, which didn't "work." 4 remaining viable embryos were frozen. Then in April we were supposed to be in a "rest period" and... we got pregnant. Who says the romance is out of the picture in these proceedings? But our miracle daughter, Hope, died at about 8-9 weeks. We discovered this at one of the ultrasounds in June. She was removed, but I didn't get to see her or anything. My mother in law bought me a Willow figure and I picture the angels in Heaven holding her for me. So after another 'rest' period (we whisked away to St Kitts), on September 30 the second IVF was performed and we found out two weeks later it was a success! They thawed 2 of our 4 remaining embryos (we prayed for the man performing the thaw as well as for the embryos that morning, hoping none would be lost) and surgically placed them at optimal timing in my uterus. The implantation has to happen on its own- And the Lord let it be so!!! For BOTH!!! We are so delighted. We continue to celebrate and pray to the Lord for strength to handle this whether it means another "fire" to get through or the blessing of raising these two little ones up in Him! It is so incredible to be so blessed with modern technology as to witness our little babies just 4 weeks after implantation. They already have strong heartbeats and are well protected inside their snug little amniotic sacs. What better testimony for choosing LIFE than to see these tiny little ones waiting for the chance to develop into the precious people they are.
We appreciate your continued prayers as we wait. The blog below (before this one) is our theme song for this time. We wait on the Lord.
