We celebrated a wonderful day- the first birthday of Samuel & Oliver. Of course, we cannot believe it has already been a year!! And how quickly the boys have changed from newborn to babies to toddlers. They are walking, signing, talking in partial words and astounding us more every day! They delight in seeing one of our three "Ka-" (cats), pointing to things and saying a consonant sound such as "F-" for fish or "cra Kah" for cracker. They sign for cracker or more or drink or paci. They delight us with happy laughter and smiles.
For dinner we all enjoyed fish sticks and mac-n-cheese, then a wagon ride down the street. Birthday cupcakes were their delight as we practiced for the party on Saturday (pictures coming soon). Oliver liked the musical candle best, of course since it is a mechanical device! Samuel had no hesitation in crushing the little cake.
We continue to thank the Lord and give Him all the glory, honor and praise. Psalm 115:1 is the verse we chose for these little guys long ago. "Not to us, Oh Lord, Not to Us, but to YOU be the glory."
